Casi and Alex Get Married

August 10, 2009

Casi and Alex were married this past Friday evening at the First Presbyterian Armenian Church in Fresno, California.  The beautiful ceremony was officiated by grandfathers from both Casi and Alex’s family.  I knew that Casi had a lot of bridesmaids but it didn’t quite sink in until I entered the bridal suite where Casi was getting ready.  It was a small, but adorable room and it was filled with eleven (yes, I said eleven) bridesmaids in lovely navy blue dresses.  Now, this could be a photographers nightmare, right?  Not a chance.  These girls were so cooperative and helpful…as it turns out, I knew several of them from my years of teaching at Sierra High.  After the ceremony, the couple and wedding party boarded their limo bus and we headed to downtown Fresno for photos.  I think the photos are proof that Fresno is beautiful so everyone needs to stop picking on this great city.  The reception was held at the Grand Ballroom in the World Trade Center building.  This is such a lovely, classic building and it is too bad that they won’t be using it for weddings after this month.  Casi and Alex were so easy and sweet to work with.  Casi is angelic…just look at her!  After a Hawaiian honeymoon, the couple will be moving to Texas where Alex is working on his master’s degree in physics (brainchild).  Best wishes Alex and Casi!

It takes a very special person to capture all the beauty, love and significance wrapped into a single day. Thank you for playing such an intricate role in my best friend’s wedding day experience.
