A Victoria Garden Wedding in Visalia

June 1, 2009

Gorgeous!  Everything…the bride, the venue and most importantly the love I see in John and Kaitlin when they look at each other.  Seriously, John and Kaitlin are two of the most genuinely kind people…it was such a pleasure to shoot their wedding this past Saturday.  The couple exchanged vows in Tulare at a cute, little country church.  John’s father performed the ceremony.   Then everyone headed east for a beautiful reception at Victoria Garden’s in Visalia.  This is truly one of the most lovely venues around the central valley.  I was able to steal the bride and groom away from their guests for about 30 minutes to shoot some romantic and fun couple shots.   So glad I was able to take Kaitlin and John’s engagement pictures a few months ago–it’s always so much easier for the couple to warm up in front of my camera that way.  My favorite details of the wedding would have to be two things…one, Kaitlin baked John a pie the morning of the wedding because he doesn’t like cake (too sweet) and secondly the party favors that John made were so adorable.  John made what I call a ‘tea tree’.  Kaitlin loves tea so John designed cute tags and wrapped tea up with ribbon  and hung them from  tree branches…loved that (pic below).  John also designed the labels for the wine bottles on the guest tables….the bottles had the number of the table on each label…cleaver!  Congratulations John and Kaitlin…love you guys!
